Hashish can be easily prepared at home and today we will see some very simple methods to obtain it. But first of all, what is hashish? It is a preparation obtained from trichomes, those small crystals that cover cannabis plants. For many consumers, these tiny growths found on the leaves and flowers are the true essence of marijuana and their massive presence is an indicator of a good quality plant. These parts are rich in substances, such as THC and CBD. Therefore, to prepare an excellent hashish, you must have a plant rich in trichomes.

Hashish is essentially obtained by heating and pressing the trichomes. There are many techniques to do this, but today we will see two methods that are within everyone's reach and do not require specific equipment.

Method number 1: Hand rubbing

The manual method is the most traditional and is still used in some Asian countries. It does not require any equipment but is, as you can imagine, the most laborious method.

1. Get some undried cannabis buds and do not treat and wash your hands very well with a neutral soap, without perfumes.
2. Take the cannabis bud in your hands and roll it gently. Try to rub it with a movement as slow and circular as possible.
3. Little by little your hands will become covered with a blackish film. At that point, just scrape it off your hands and shape it into small balls. This product is called charas, a “fresh hashish”.

Method number 2: the blender

This method is a little more complicated and requires some objects, fortunately common and available in most kitchens. The advantage is that it uses cannabis scraps. Like with pork, nothing of our favorite plant is thrown away! So, let's get started. Here, first of all, is the "tool list":

• Cannabis waste
• A blender
• Ice
• An American coffee filter
• A fine mesh sieve
• A large glass jar

And here's the procedure:

1. Put the cannabis scraps in the blender. Add water so that they are completely immersed. Then add some ice cubes.
2. Blend for about a minute at medium speed, until smooth. a dense compound and frothy.
3. Pour the mixture into the glass jar, using the sieve as if it were a strainer.
4. After about half an hour a thin layer of sediment.
5. Pour most of the water into the sink of the jar (about two-thirds) being careful not to lose the sediment. Pour in more very cold water and a few ice cubes. Wait a few minutes.
6. Drain the water again (about two thirds) being careful not to lose the sediment.
7. Wait a few minutes and then drain everything through the filter from coffee.
8. What remains on the coffee filter should be a sediment of pure hashish. At that point all that remains is to let it dry before using it.
