Dolci, caramelle e infusi al CBD: perché mangiare la cannabis anziché fumarla

The popularity of Cannabis muffins, brownies and cookies Is it a modern fashion, even a bit of a kid thing? Nothing could be more wrong. It seems, in fact, that taking cannabis by eating it is the oldest method ever used by humanity, and also one of the most effective.

Some say, believe it or not, that humans have been eating the cannabis plant for 50,000 years: long before cigarettes, cigars and rolling paper were invented. In fact primitive man he ate whatever he thought was healthy and nutritious, and that's how medicinal herbs and even psychotropic substances were discovered. The history of processed foods containing cannabis, both sweet and savory, seems to have originated in ancient Persia.

When cannabis is ingested, the body absorbs it differently than when it is vaporized. In the case of marijuana containing THC, it has been observed in many quarters that the metabolism is more complete and produces more intense effects than when smoking.

The same principle applies to CBD: sweets, cakes, herbal teas containing this substance provide benefits equal to or greater than those obtained “through smoking” but at the same time allow you to enjoy a particular and tasty experience. In fact, the “grassy” taste of cannabis marries perfectly with ingredients such as milk or dark chocolate.

The relaxing, pain-relieving and also energizing properties of CBD are perfect for provide an extra “something” to a snack or after-dinner treat. CBD has also been recognized for its ability to help concentration and memory, making these products ideal for, for example, university students approaching exams: while they calm anxiety, they help memory! In our shop you will find a selection of herbal teas, sweets and drinks containing cannabis sativa, 100% legal and natural as well as tasty.

If you want to cook your own recipes, we suggest a very easy cannabis butter which can become the basis of many recipes, from chocolates to more elaborate desserts. You will need:

  • 300 grams of butter
  • Half a liter of water
  • 20 grams of dried legal weed buds

The procedure is very simple. First you need chop and finely grind the tops of cannabis: the finer the result, the better the butter will be. Then it is necessary bring half a litre of water to the boil in a saucepan and, when it reaches the desired temperature, turn the flame to minimum so as to keep it warm. At that point, add the tops chop and keep on the heat, stirring, for 10-15 minutes.

After that time, incorporate the butter and mix. The flame must remain low. It will take about 30-35 minutes over low heat. You are now ready for the last step: using a strainer, preferably made of cloth, filter the mixture and pour it into a glass jar. This will have to “rest” at room temperature for a couple of hours and then placed in the fridge until solidified.

You will notice that there will be some water residue left in the container: it is sufficient drain them by tilting the container and letting the liquid drain out. At that point you can put your butter back in the fridge and after a few more hours you will be free to use it in whatever way your imagination suggests.
