Among marijuana enthusiasts there is always a continuous search for new products to enjoy their own favorite herb in concentrated form or to give it different flavors. So let's go and discover the bubble hash what is it, what effects it has and how you can make it yourself.

What is bubble hash and why is it called that?

Like all types of hashish, the bubble hash is a concentrate of parts of the cannabis flower. In particular, the bubble or iceolator hash whatever you want to call it, it's a trichome concentrate. If you are passionate about cannabis, you surely know what these parts of the plant are, but we will repeat it for those who do not know.

Hemp trichomes are small bubble-like growths, present on the surface of the plant: when they are ripe they mark the time of harvest. Their colour varies from milky white to amber, while they are semi-transparent when immature. Since most of the psychoactive active ingredients are found in the trichomes, it is by collecting these and concentrating them that create the bubble hash, which is significantly more potent than buds ground and smoked in their entirety.

So the bubble hash is a concentrate of trichomes (from these “balls” it takes its name) and is obtained with a method that we will explain later. Sometimes bubble hashish is also called ice wax: these are just two different names that indicate the same thing.

The legal bubble hash, being a concentrate, you pay more than simply dried and processed cannabis. The price is around 8 euros per gram, but it depends on the quality. The good news is that you can make at home from any cannabis plant, including full CBD ones. All you have to do is harvest the buds and treat them with the simple method that we will explain below.

But it's worth it try the ice wax? In our opinion, yes, and here's why:

• The bubble hash is more concentrated and pure of “normal” hashish sifted dry with the grinder. For this reason it gives a much more intense experience.
• Homemade bubble hash with the procedure we will explain makes more compared to the dry process used for normal hashish. This means that from the same plant you get more trichomes, therefore more product, compared to the traditional extraction method.
• The effects bubble hash is more potent than dry hash and simply dried marijuana.

How to make Ice or lator or bubble hash

There ice wax preparation It may be a bit laborious but in our opinion it's worth it.To make this type of hash you will need:

• 5-7 kg of ice
• 85g of cannabis
• A set of “bubble bags” which are bags with rather narrow and differentiated meshes.
• A very fine mesh grid (a few microns) or a fabric in cheesecloth.
• Ladle, spoon, a large container (better a bucket)

Here are the necessary steps now:

1. Freeze the cannabis: For best results, place your flowers or trim in a freezer for at least an hour before you begin, preferably the night before. While your cannabis is freezing, prepare your bags according to the instructions, starting with the finest mesh (about 25 microns) and working your way up to the largest mesh (about 220 microns). These bags should then be placed in the bucket/container you will be using.

1. Add plenty of ice in the bucket until the cannabis is completely covered. Then add 8 glasses of purified water cold. When cannabis is in a very cold environment, the trichomes detach naturally, and it is this property that we exploit to prepare bubble hash.
2. Stir the mixture vigorously to 15-20 minutes, then let it rest for half an hour.
3. Carefully lift the first bag (the one with the largest mesh) and let the water filter into the bags underneath. Remove the bag and discard the plant material.
4. Proceed by lifting the bags one by one, filtering the water and collecting the trichomes that accumulate in the mesh. Try not to squeeze the bags but only to mix the material. Use a spatula or a butter knife to collect the hashish accumulated on the inside walls of the bags.
5. As you go forward you will realize that hashish is getting clearer and clearer and that the plant residues are disappearing. When you get to the cheesecloth, you have in your hands the purest type of hash: this does not mean that you should throw away the contents of the other bags, which are still quality hash.
6. Now all you have to do is dry the contents of your bags of ice wax. Fold the cheesecloth over itself to let out as much water as possible, then place all the bags on top a cardboard plan in a cool, dry and dark place. Ideal drying will take several days, up to a week. The bubble hash is ready when it has become compact and hard.
